In fact, I’ve never lost an item using Gixen.com when I’ve put in a maximum amount I’m willing to pay that is greater then what someone else has bid.

There are two ways to use Gixen.com. One is free and one is very reasonable (like $6/year for unlimited snipes) that uses an Ebay mirror server to submit bids to the same auction… thus virtually insuring that you win as long as your maximum you’re willing to pay is set high enough.
