Sniping

No, I’m not talking about rifles… I’m talking about online auctions… Ebay to be precise. To snipe an auction is to place a bid at the very last second to avoid unnecessarily bidding up the cost of the item with other bidders that want the item as well.

Even better is to have an automatic service that does it for you… Enter Gixen.com. Gixen is a free service that will attempt to place a winning bid for you at the last second. In fact, I’ve never lost an item using Gixen.com when I’ve put in a maximum amount I’m willing to pay that is greater then what someone else has bid.

There are two ways to use Gixen.com. One is free and one is very reasonable (like $6/year for unlimited snipes) that uses an Ebay mirror server to submit bids to the same auction… thus virtually insuring that you win as long as your maximum you’re willing to pay is set high enough.

I can’t recommend Gixen.com enough…  works every time, check them out.
